SENIOR TALKS
AQUAPONICS
Seniors, Noah and Hees, researched designed, and built their own sustainable aquaponics garden on the campus. They used the garden to educate younger students on the importance of conserving water and sustainable farming.
SHARIA'S CLOSET
Angela and Sandra's Senior Talk
Seniors, Sandra and Angela, worked with a wonderful organization called Sharia's Closet, which provides free clothing to those in need. They created a school wide clothing drive that collected over 1,000 articles of clothing, or 3 carloads worth. They also dedicated their weekends to volunteering at the closet.
RAISING MONEY FOR STUDENT UNIFORMS
Senior, Abraham, designed, raised money, and created t-shirts to sell at GPA. With the money he raised he donated over $300 to GPA to provide for students who could not afford the school uniforms.
THE CHECK-MATES
Seniors, Alec, Christian, and Bruno worked to bring back a passion they had in chess. Chess is a very popular game students play at GPA, but they noticed as they grew older kids began to lose interest. They planned, organized, and created multiple chess tournaments on our campus to help create a buzz for all students to begin playing again. They also dedicated their lunches to play with students who may be sitting alone at lunch and give them a friend to talk and play with.
KENNY'S CULTURAL CLASSROOM
Senior, Kenny, worked with Mr. Sturgeon to bring different cultures from around the world to GPA classrooms. Kenny worked on creating fun and interactive lesson plans that he would teach younger grade levels. Kenny would create arts and crafts pieces with these classes, as well as teaching them about that countries culture.
GPA ART EXHIBITION
Senior, Angela, used her great artistic skills to bring GPA its first art exhibition. This project took months to plan, prepare, and advertise to the school. Angela worked extremely hard to bring to light many issues that affect our world today and wanted all the artists she worked with to be able to express those issues.
